The Weekend Home Repair option is very similar to the Home Repair program but... yeah you guessed it... is only a weekend trip.  This program is only offered September - May.  Your group will stay in a bunk house style lodge.  There is a fire place, meeting room, bunk beds, and bathroom with running water and showers. 

You will arrive on a Friday evening and stay through Sunday morning.  Saturday will be the day for the home repair project.  Ususally the project runs from 9-3 and then there will be an opportunity to enjoy some northern Michigan adventure and fun.  In the fall and spring you can choose to play paint ball, do a high ropes course or go hiking.  In the winter months you can choose to go skiing, tubing, or ice skating.

Our home repair program is an opportunity to work hands on to help families in need in northern Michigan.  We do not target specific families but we do operate by these rules: 1) there is a legitimate need, 2) no other resources can be found to solve the problem and 3) there is an opportunity to demonstrate the love of God.  Your youth group will do tasks such as hang dry wall, paint, build wheel chair ramps, clean up jobs, mow grass, build decks, hang doors, etc.  This is hard work but it is very rewarding.  Most of the time you will see the project from beginning to end.  In addition to doing physical work, quite possibly the most important work will be spending time with the family you are helping.  As you hang out and listen to the family members, you will soon realize that this was the most impactful time of your trip.   ~ The cost of this trip is $99.00 per person + the cost of the adventure activity ~
